VR and FPV goggles are the talk of the town these days, and why not, they offer us the ability to experience virtual reality whilst being comfortably seated on your couch. Speaking of Eachine, it’s a renowned and famous brand in the world of drones (quadcopters). And now, Eachine is expanding its product line to related accessories as well, like the Eachine EV800 FPV racing goggles that have recently been launched in the market.
These latest FPV goggles from Eachine have a unique design wherein the 5-inch screen can be detached to be used as a standalone screen too. This screen can then be attached to your radio controller or a tripod. A pretty novel design I must say! Speaking of the screen, it has a resolution of 800×480 with a special high brightness backlight LED for better visibility during outdoor FPV flying. Moreover, the lens is claimed to be 92% transparent, which means there should be no blur or distortion. Furthermore, the FPV goggles feature a super-wide visible angle of 82-degree.
Connection between your drone and the Eachine EV800 is via the built-in super-sensitive 5.8GHz 40-channel receiver that boasts of an advanced auto-search function that also displays the working frequency on the screen. On the power side of things, you get a built-in 3.7V 2000mAh battery that should last for about 3.5 hours. In order to help prolong battery life even further, the battery is chargeable from different power sources (5-12V) or 2S/3S batteries.
On the physical side of things, the FPV goggles weigh in at 375gm and should be comfortable to wear due to its ergonomic design.
In the box, you get the FPV goggles of course, an antenna, a USB charger, a user manual and a cleaning cloth. The Eachine EV800 FPV goggles can be bought for under $80 shipped.
