What comes to your mind when I say “action camera”? The most likely image in your head is that of a rectangular shaped device that can capture your action-packed moments by mounting it on your body, your helmet, your skateboard or anything else for that matter. But hey, you get action cameras in different shapes and sizes too, like the bullet-sized Campark ACT30 that was launched a few months back. Fast-forward a few months and you have yet another bullet-shaped camera in the market: the Warrior XM-JPG-4S.
The Warrior XM-JPG-4S comes equipped with a 165-degree wide-angle lens and a Sony IMX291 Starlight image sensor for better clarity in low-light conditions. The camera can record videos at 1080p (30fps) and 720p (60, 30fps) resolutions, which is decent for a mini-sized action camera. Videos and images are stored on a microSD card that is included with the camera. What’s more, the action camera is WiFi-enabled and features time-lapse and burst-mode shooting options, among others.
On the physical side of things, the 149gm, 110 x 44mm Warrior XM-JPG-4S is waterproof (up to 5m), break-proof shockproof and dust-proof. It is also said to be compatible with GoPro accessories. Nice! That’s not all, you also get a remote controller that you can use to control the camera.
Powering the device is a whopping 3400mAh battery that is claimed to last for about 7 hours of continuous recording. Speaking of the battery, the Warrior XM-JPG-4S camera features an ECO start-stop technology that helps reduce battery consumption.
Inside the box, you get the camera of course, the remote controller, a USB cable and a user manual. Also note that there are two versions of this device: the starlight one and the normal one with black-yellow and black-blue color combinations respectively.
